  3. AGENDA 1. To elect a Chairman to preside over the meeting with a view to conduct the proceedings. 2. To confirm the MOM of the last AGM held on 24th May 2009. 3. To receive and adopt the i) Report of Board of Trustees for the year 2009-10. ii) Auditor’s report of the trust for the year ending on 31st March 2010. 4. To elect members eligible to serve on the Board of Trustee. As per clause nos. 5.2 and 9.2 of Rules and Regulations of the Trust, one third of the members of the Board of Trustees will be due for retirement and they shall be eligible for re-election. 5. To appoint an Auditors and to fix his or their remuneration. 6. To receive and adopt the list of recipient institutions of the scholarships and the corresponding amounts disbursed in 2009-10. Placing of Provisional Budget 2010-11 7. Adopt resolution for amendment of removing Rules & Regulation cl 3.6 as per It authority requirement. Status of 80G certificate from Income Tax Authority 8. To transact any other business which may be brought forward by any member of the Trust with previous permission of the Board of Trustees. Expansion of trust activity for interface with Jadavpur University will be discussed as raised in BOT meeting in 2008-09.

  5. MINUTES OF 29TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (MUMBAI BRANCH) TRUST was formed in 1980 under the following Act: (Regn. No. BOM / 318-80 under Registrar of Societies Act 1860 and Regn. No. F- 6172 (BOM) under The Bombay Public Trust Act 1950)

  6. OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST: The objectives for which the Trust is established are : 1. To give aids to deserving students for prosecuting further studies in engineering , applied science or research work irrespective of religion, race, community, caste, language or social status. 2. To give subsidy to the meritorious or needy students in the form of scholarships to cover School/College fees and tuition fees for a complete year. 3. To provide financial help for accommodations, maintenance and purchase of books and instruments to deserving students . 4. To organize honoraria to prominent persons for delivering lectures in India with a view to extending the frontiers of knowledge. 5. To print, publish, issue and exhibit any journals, periodicals books, papers, advertisements, pamphlets reports, lectures, and other reading materials for the diffusion of and for the promotion, benefit and advancement of education. 6. To give aids to and to provide for the welfare of Members of the Trust and the dependents of such persons by giving loans and other assistance which may be conducive for the attainment of the objects of the Trust.

  7. REPORT OF TRUST ACTIVITIES 2009-10: MEETINGS The Board met 4 times in the year 2009-10 to devise line of action of the Trust and administer the implementation program. The board of Trutees met in the FY on 27th June 09 ,12th Sept 09,13th Dec 09 and 14th March 10

REPORT OF TRUST ACTIVITIES 2008-09: SCHOLARSHIP DRIVES SCHOLARSHIP drives: 2006-07 • FOLLOWING SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED • The late Sushil Ganguli Scholarship 2009-10 for Rs 28,000 (adopt-a-child scheme) to 4 children of Jadavpur Vidyapith at the primary classes : • The late Mihir Lodh Scholarship 2009-10 for Rs 40,000 (adopt-a-child scheme) to 5 children of Vivekand Education Society in the primary classes : • 3. The late Bibhas Chandra Rakshit Award for Rs 25,000 to the ‘Teacher of the Year 2009’, Mrs Snigdha Biswas, at Jadavpur Vidyapith ( Primary & Nursery Section).

REPORT OF TRUST ACTIVITIES 2009-10: SCHOLARSHIP DRIVES (CONTD.) • 4.0 The late Supriya Basu Scholarship 2009-10 for Rs 60,000 to three 2nd year students (toppers in 3 Faculties) of Jadavpur University • 5.0 The late Ramkanai Debnath Scholarship 2009-10 of Rs 15000 wasgiven away to the Sausheelya Special Education School at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai • 6. The scholarship in the name of late C K Radhakrishnan 2008-09 of Rs 15000would be given away to the 2nd year Mechanical Engg student at VJTI • 7.Further an additional Scholarship in the name of late A K Sinha was given for 2009-10 of Rs 14000 for adopting 2 mentally challanged students in Sashi Mangalayam School for Children need special care at Goregaon , Mumbai
