To write a prayer for Christian Aid Week Throughout Christian Aid Week, please: • thank God for the difference Christian Aid Week makes for the lives of many of the world’s poorest people • thank God for the witness Christian Aid Week demonstrates in your community and around the country • ask God to bless all who give their time, talents and money this Christian Aid Week • ask God to bless the money raised, that it will bring transformation around the world.

To write a prayer for Morsheda‘I don’t even dream that things could be better.’ For Morsheda, please pray: • for strength as she undertakes backbreaking physical labour • for release from her constant hunger • for protection for her and her children from the dangerous floods • for courage in the face of the risk to her family • that through the money raised this Christian Aid Week, she and others like her will find new hope and begin to dream of a better life.

To write a prayer for FerozaThere is no sign now of that time I struggled a lot.’ For Feroza, please pray and give thanks: • for the change in her life, that she is no longer hungry or at risk of flooding • that her small herd of goats, her cows and her chickens will be healthy and fruitful • for the continued flourishing of her family • for Christian Aid partner GUK, that they will be blessed in their work and able to reach more women like Feroza and Morsheda

  7. To make a prayer mat One of the ways Morsheda earns a living is by harvesting jute, a vegetable fibre that is woven in hessian sacks and bags. Using long, thin strips of paper, on which your prayers have been written for Christian Aid Week, weave these into a prayer mat.
