My name Is Joshua Blue Garcia! • My professional goals include: • I want to be the very best like no one ever was… • Staying in the classroom • Get a PH.D. in Chemistry • Becoming a Specialist Coach (still teach part of the time) • Help teachers become better at their craft • Improve curriculum so that it is not only differentiated but vertically aligned

  3. What I love about the work that I do • Honestly it’s fun. I enjoy talking about Chemistry and joking around with the kids. I enjoy when my kids learn to love science.

  4. What I would like to change about the work that I do • Change the way education is done in our state/country • Lead professional developments that teach teachers more about their content area • I want teachers to have opportunities to develop better content knowledge through engaging Professional Development • I want STEM education to be at a higher caliber • Students need better numeracy

  5. My hobbies • Reading Scifi/Fantasy books • Traveling (I’ve been to 22 countries and all the States in the continental US) • Sleeping (I am perpetually tired) • Hanging with my family, friends, pets, and goddaughters • Renfest/Geeky/Nerd Stuff • Playing Video Games • Specifically MMORPG/Pokemon/Final Fantasy

  6. My family I’m very family oriented. I am one of six children. I have two goddaughters.
