  3. WHY? The updates are meant to mirror the changes in today’s society, demographics and technology advances Changes in EEO Categories are to provide for better analysis of potential glass ceiling effects in management

  4. The New Guidance on Collecting Race/Ethnicity Data • 1. Is the employee Hispanic/Latino? If the answer to question #1 is no proceed to the next question • 2. Is the employee from one or more of the following races: American Indian/Alaskan Native Asian Black/African American Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander White Two or more races

  6. Officials and Managers will be divided into two levels based on responsibility and influence within the organization These two levels will be: 1. Executive/Senior Level Officials and Managers (plan, direct and formulate policy, set strategy and provide overall direction; in larger organizations, within two reporting levels of CEO). 2. First/Mid-level Officials and Managers (direct implementation or operations within specific parameters set by Executive/Senior Level Officials and Managers; oversee day-to-day operations).
