  2. Your Choices: Term I Competitive Marching Band Receive 5 credits PE Receive 5 credits Fine Arts Non Competitive Marching Band Receive 5 credits PE Receive 5 credits Fine Arts Term II Concert Band or Wind Ensemble Receive 10 credits Fine Arts

Competitive Marching Band • Audition only group • Auditions will be held April 17-20 (at MVMS for current 8th graders) 3:30 to 4:30. • For students who are not accepted we are offering an additional audition June 12 – 15 at Westview 9am to 11am. • Meets period 3* every day (period TBD) • Meets 6-9pm every Tuesday evening during the Season • Meets one day a week 3:20 – 4:20 with Instrumental Coach • Rehearses 3:30 – 4:30 on Fridays that there is a Football Game • Performs at all home Football games, competitive Field Shows • Performs at community parades as well as at Disneyland • A sample schedule can be viewed at the end of the Power Point.

Non Competitive Marching Band • Meets period 4* every day (period TBD) • Rehearses 3:30 – 4:30 on Fridays that there is a Football Game • Performs at all home Football games • Performs at community parades as well as at Disneyland • A sample schedule can be viewed at the end of the Power Point. • Football game performances will be the “fun” type of performance – Party Rock, etc…

Competitive Marching Band Auditions • Auditions will be April 17-20 • 3:30 to 4:30 • at MVMS for current 8th graders • At Westview for others • For students who are not accepted in April we are offering an additional audition June 12 – 15 at Westview 9am to 11am. • Auditions are based on Marching Skills 80%, Instrument 20% • Students who do not make the Competitive Marching Band may participate if they play “pit” instruments (by audition).
