The words “they send me to eat in the kitchen/When company comes” refers to what attitudes in American history? Equality Discrimination Acceptance Patriotism 2.) Hughes is talking about the future when he writes, “Tomorrow,/I’ll be at the table/ When company comes.” How does Hughes picture the future? People who have a lot of parties People will eat at home more often People will be more accepting People will be proud to be American 3.)
