The 3-Year Cycle

TRF operates on a unique funding cycle, using contributions for program activities three years after they are collected

The three-year cycle gives districts time for program planning and participant selection

TRF uses the earnings from SHARE’s 3-year investment cycle to pay for administration and fund development

What is ddf l.jpg
What is DDF?

The terms SHARE and DDF are often usedinterchangeably. DDF stands for “District DesignatedFund.” At the end of the Rotary Year the SHAREsystem divides each districts’ Annual Programs Fund

contributions into two funds: 50% goes to the World

Fund and 50% is credited to each district’s District

Designated Fund.

Keeping Track of Your SHARE Balance

Districts are expected to plan for and track the use of their DDF. TRF also tracks the use of all districts’ DDF. Districts can check their current “account balance” by contacting the Foundation’sSHARE coordinator.
