  6. The ET toolbar • Available for all notebooks and commercial PCs starting 2Q06 • Visible by default when signing into Windows® • A new, consistent and easy-to-access interface to run Empowering Technology utilities!

The ET toolbar: Normal mode • Displays the Empowering Technology utilities installed • Utility status is displayed on mouse hover • Utility page is displayed on mouse click • Right clicking displays a list of options including widget/password setup, tutorial and online support for Notebooks for Desktops

The ET toolbar: right-click menu Setup the shared password used by Acer eLock Management and Acer eRecovery Management • Right-click on the toolbar to… • setup widget and password options • run the Flash tutorial • visit the Online Support website • view help files Use Widget setup to change which widgets are displayed in Widget mode

The ET toolbar: Widget mode • A separate window layer with "Widgets" — fast and easy tools that display status and allow quick changes • Access by pressing the Empowering Key from Normal mode or clicking the "e" icon on the toolbar Toggle viewable widgets using Widget Setup (right-click menu) or simply drag an icon out of the toolbar to make its widget appear! Note: Acer ePresentation Management and Acer eSettings Management do not have widgets.

  10. The ET toolbar: Minimized mode • Minimized mode shrinks the toolbar into an "e" icon on the desktop, to save space Press the Empowering Key to return the toolbar to Normal mode!
