  2. What is a Podcast? A podcast is a recorded audio program that people can download from the Internet and hear on their computers or MP3 players Listeners find these programs by searching ‘Google by topic, for example, or by using a podcast directory like those on Yahoo or iTunes

  3. What is the Cost to get Started? The cost can be as little as $10 for a microphone - and maybe not even that if your computer has one built-in - or as much as $30,000 for a well-equipped recording studio. A software program to record audio, such as a free program called Audacity. A free tutorial can be found at http://www.daniel.uklinux.net/tutorial/

  4. How do I get my shows to the Internet? Use a hosting service that specializes in podcasts A Google search on “Podcast Hosting" will show you a number of options

  5. How do I promote my podcast? Like blogging, you'll want to make sure your podcast offers an RSS feed. Hosting company will handle this for you Like blogging, you'll also want to submit your site to podcast directories so that people can find you. Podfee, Odeo, Podcasting news, and of course the iTunes Music Store (through the iTunes software) are just a few places to start. New video iPods permit video podcasting.
