  2. College in High School Program College in High School has been designed to accelerate top students to college-level academic preparation while taking high level high school courses. The program leads to actual credits earned for freshmen level courses which are required by most universities. Students may be be able transfer the credits to the college or university of their choice. The students may have advanced standing at the university level, which equates to great savings in time and money for the student. Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA

Benefits to earning college credits in high school • Credits may be transferable to most universities and colleges for similar courses. • Students may graduate (college) early. • Students may earn a dual major with the additional time available at college. • Students may take lighter semesters at college during peak academic or athletic times. • Signifies to college acceptance officials the student’s readiness for higher education. • Tremendous savings in college tuition expense. • Credits only apply to a 2 or 4 year program at colleges and universities.

  6. NTSD College in High School • Seton Hill University -For students enrolled in the NTSD program $220 per course. • University of Pitt- For students enrolled in the NTSD program $320 per course. • Duqesne University- For students enrolled in the NTSD program $ 300 per course.

  7. Registration Process • For Seton Hill courses-register online at grif.ly/CHSNeshannock • For Duqesne- registration paperwork is required from Mr. Frye or Mrs. DeVincentis • For Pitt-registration paperwork is required from Miss Wilson or Mrs. DeVincentis

  8. School District Assistance • Neshannock Township School District is offering to assist families in obtaining the college credits. • A payment plan through the school district is available. • Complete the payment plan sheet with registration.

  9. Payment Plan through NTSD • September: 1/4 Down-payment in the amount of $55.00 (per course) is due by September 25. • October: Payment of $55.00 per course is due by October 12. • November: Payment of $55.00 per course is due by November 12. • December: Final payment of $55.00 per course is due by December 12. All checks for payments are payable to NTSD and must be paid by the due date. Any outstanding balances will result in transcripts withheld. College Within the High School It is our sincere goal to provide the students of the Neshannock Township School District every opportunity to excel academically and develop the foundation to compete in universities and colleges across the globe. This program is an example of our efforts to help our students get a head start with their higher education.
