  16. What Next? • Mrs. Carter will conduct pre-registration in 8th Grade classes during the next week or two. Students are to bring their respective pre-registration forms home and get them signed by a parent/guardian, then return their forms to the counseling department on the date designated by Mrs. Carter. • You are not guaranteed your elective course requests, as many factors go into consideration for scheduling purposes (number of teachers, number of students signing up for or taking a course, whether prerequisites have been met, teacher denial of approval for course based on students’ academic difficulties or weak academic/low grade achievement histories. However, every effort will be made to give you the class schedule for which you ask.
