January 22, 2013 2nd Grade O.W.L Outstanding Wise Learning Classroom News O.W.L of the week Outstanding Wise Learner Jenna McManus Week of 1/14 Rachael Roberts Memory Verse God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation. Acts 10:34-35 (NIV) Follow our class on Twitter@ils2ndgrade & Schoolrack.com Math: We will finish up Unit 7 Mental Subtraction and take our test on Thursday 1/24. Language Arts: We are focusing on reading comprehension skills. Spelling: This week will will focus on the most commonly misspelled words. You can find the new weekly assignments on our website atwww.schoolrack.com/ILSTonner Science: We have started our Soil Unit and will continue to investigate the different types and classifications of soil. Religion: We will finish up book 6 on Miracles of Jesus. We will have our test on Monday January 28th. Students will take their religion books and a study sheet home over the weekend to prepare. 1/23 PTL meeting at 7PM 1/24 Marketing meeting 7PM 1/28 Zumba at 7pm 1/28 Kicks off National Lutheran Schools Week 2/3 NLSW closing Chapel at 10:45am, this is a mandatory attendance event. *Progress reports went home on 1/18. Please be sure to get those signed envelopes back to school.
