  1. CSeON WG (GISFI#10) Agenda GISFI # 10, Sep 10-12, 2012, Delhi Chair: Parag Pruthi, NIKSUN Chair-Delegate: Ashutosh Dutta, NIKSUN Vice-Chair: Niranth, Huawei GISFI#10, Sep 10-12 2012

  2. Agenda • Sharing of CSeON WG GISFI #9 Report • Status of CSeON WG Deliverables • Contributions for CSeON WG GISFI #10

  3. GISFI #9 Report • Topics discussed during GISFI #9 • Deliverables • CSeON Framework and requirements to incorporate NTP 2012 objectives, operator views, use cases like VoLTE, merge other analysis and include cloud computing perspective from NPIT 2011 • VoLTE Framework was discussed to be included into the CSeON requirements as use case. • Telecom Billing and Revenue Mgmt was discussed and decided to be presented again in GISFI #10 by the author. • Liaisons • Liaison reports were presented and it was decided to send all liaisons before GISFI#10. • Joint Workshop with Operators proposal was discussed. • Next Steps • Document Status • CSeON Requirements and Framework TR (Progress) • Information Management TR (Progress) • Cloud Computing TR (Progress) • Business Models (To close) • MOU/LS to IEEE P1903, IETF, ITU-T, and ATIS SON/Cloud Computing Forum

  4. SeON WG Deliverables - Status • 6 Task Forces • 2 (Closed) • 3 (In Progress) • 1 (Moved to Security and Privacy WG) • GISFI #10 • TRs • Liaison progress • Information Systems migration challenges • Cloud networks discussions.

  5. Task 1: CSeON Framework • Rapporteur: NIKSUN • Contributors: Huawei, VNL, TCS • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: In Progress (95% complete) • Incorporate NTP 2012 objectives, operator views, use cases like VoLTE, merge other analysis, clean up the requirements, include cloud computing perspective from NPIT 2011 • Need more contributions from Operators, Vendors and Integrators. • GISFI #10 • New version to be presented.

  6. Task 2: Business Models and Architecture • Rapporteur: NEC, • Contributors: VNL, TCS, NIKSUN, MPHASIS • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD [GISFI_SeON_20110675] • Status: Completed. • Definition of the business models. • Mapping of service oriented architecture with the business models. • In particular, the team will define a few use case scenarios where both a third party service provider and existing service provider can make use of the standards developed by GISFI to create service creation environment for the end users. • Deliverable format could be a word document or a set of annotated view graphs.

  7. Task 3: Gap analysis with other SDO • Rapporteur: NIKSUN • Contributor: Ericsson, Huawei • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: COMPLETED • Conduct a gap analysis with other SDOs (e.g., ATIS SON, NGSON, 3GPP, OMA, IETF). • In particular, the report will include thorough analysis of ATIS SON’s WG documents and provide recommendations as to which specific work items can be carried out within GISFI and the work items that can complement the work items within SON. • Similar analysis to be conducted on IEEE-P1903 Std. (IEEE NGSON) • Gap analysis at Network infrastructural level. • GISFI #9 • Merging Gap Analysis with SeON Framework

  8. Task 4: Security Models • Rapporteur: TCS • Contributors: NEC, VNL, NIKSUN, Huawei • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: Closed in SeON WG (MOVED TO “SECURITY AND PRIVACY WG”) • Define the security models and produce threat analysis document. • In particular, the security task group will look at the following Ongoing security work within 3GPP (e.g., security and identity aspect as single-sign-on) and will conduct a study on how security, identity and location thing will work together. • Security for Cloud Computing • The task group will clarify requirements for rural India

  9. Task 5: Information Management • Rapporteur: MPHASIS • Contributor: NIKSUN • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Status: In Progress • Information migration is beginning to play an important role as there is a gradual shift towards convergence of IT and Telco taking place. • Information migration from Legacy to Next generation systems (3G, 4G) based on context of data using rule models. TMF’s SID model is considered as the foundation upon which best practices and end state of information model will be drawn. • The deliverable format could be a word document and set of annotated view graphs. • GISFI #10 • Information Systems migration challenges

  10. Task 6: Cloud Computing Framework • Rapporteur: TBD • Contributor: Huawei, NEC, TCS, NIKSUN • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Status: In Progress • GISFI #10 • Huawei: Private Data Cloud for CSeON • TCS: QoS for Cloud

  11. GISFI #10 Contributions • CSeON Requirements and Framework Document – Niranth, Huawei • Private Data Cloud for CSeON – Niranth, Huawei • CSeON Business Models – Anand, NEC • Liaisons Report • IEEE NGSON LS Response – Ashutosh, NIKSUN • Information Systems Migration Challenges – Basavaraj, GG • Sub 1 GHz RF Solutions for India – Viral Gosalia, Freescale
