  1. Dry Run Summary Week 38: LHC RF for IONS, Operational mode & RBAC, Abort Gap Monitor & XPOC ____________________________________ Week 39: TI 8/TI 2 Test interleaved ions cont. Follow up: full IQC, hardware groups and PC settings, AC Dipole https://espace.cern.ch/mddb/Systems%20Dry%20Run%20Tests/Home.aspx LHC Beam Commissioning Meeting V. Kain & R. Alemany

  2. Week 38: • IONS preparation: • Beam process "RAMP_3.5TeV-ions_V1" prepared. Functions generated for Momentum, RF and Transverse Damper. Cycle made resident with success. • A first version of the early ion injection schema available and tested LHC Beam Commissioning Meeting V. Kain & R. Alemany

  3. Week 38: • XPOC: Application, server, logging, analysis modules, data acquisition from BLM, BCT, VACUUM, MKB, MKD tested. Still some work needs to be done and more dry runs have to be scheduled, but progressing. IQC follow up: Abort Gap Monitor follow up: T.B.D.: XPOC, MCS acceptance test for critical settings (application and trim) LHC Beam Commissioning Meeting V. Kain & R. Alemany

  4. Week 38: Change Accelerator Mode: SHUTDOWN = NON OP PROTON PHYSICS = OP • Operational Mode  conditions the RBAC access db-publish-service* LHC Sequencer OP MODE cmw-configuration-server * publishes changes from the LSA db and exposes itself as a cmw server OP MODE LHC BLMs T.B.D.: test other equipment, change the operational mode in the telegram LHC Beam Commissioning Meeting V. Kain & R. Alemany

  5. Periodic LHC sequences: • PERIODIC MODE CHANGES FOR THE EXPERIMENTSsequence: changes the accelerator and beam mode as requested by the experiments. This sequence will be run every Tuesday at 15h00 for a couple of hours. • COLLIMATOR RAMP TEST TO 5 TEV sequence: running 24 hours to commission the collimators from the CCC. • PERIODIC MKISS BOTH BEAMS sequence: running 24 hours to perform a soft start every day in the injection kickers.
