  1. Energy Conservation

  2. Facility Background • Ground Breaking (505 acres) – June 2015 • Certificate of Occupancy • Production Area (750,000 sqft) – May 2016 • Incoming Warehouse (180,000 sqft) – October 2016 • First Ranger Unit – May 2016 • First Slingshot Unit – August 2016 • Headcount Growth • May 2016 – 400 • December 2018 – 1300+

  3. Energy Conservation Approach • Minimal initial focus on energy conservation in the first year – entire focus was on successful plant start up • In September of 2017 joined the first Strategic Energy Management Cohort in North Alabama along with 10 other large industrial energy consumers • Established cross functional Energy Management Team • Developed energy maps identifying energy users by area based on motor name plate data and run times • Expanded our employee suggestion program to specifically include a category for energy conservation • A corporate sustainability project was kicked off to evaluate supply and demand side options to evaluate opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint in North America • The Energy Management Team evolved into the Green Team looking at our total footprint • Completed certification for DOE 50001 in January 2019

  4. Quick Impactful Wins Timers added to dust collectors in weld (30 units) to shut them down when weld is not in production – saves over 800,000 kWh/yr Compressor settings adjusted and plant air pressure dropped from 115 to 96 psi - saves over 1,300,000 kWh/yr Temperature controls added to ceiling fans to control VFDs – 2462 kWh savings • Projects completed in 2018 saved 2,400,000 kWh and over $150,000 annually

  5. Focus for 2019 • Working to establish new capital installation standards to make sure that improvements are installed the first time including sub-metering • Engage purchasing team on non-capital acquisition standards for energy using equipment • Increase focus on employee awareness and engagement in improvement activities in the coming year – Strong VIP focus • Utilization of energy dashboard to drive conversations with the management team about improvements • Secure capital funding for large scale projects in 2020 • Transition plan from TVA Strategic Energy Management Team to site Sustainability Team
