  3. A. Replace the underlined words in the conversation with the correct pronouns or possessive adjectives. Sam: AAA… Atchoo! Dan: Sam, what’s wrong with (1) Sam?   6. Form:Subject + Verb + Object • Subject Pronouns take the place of the subject in a sentence. They come before the verb. • Example:Tomlikes football. Helikes football. • Object Pronouns take the place of the object in a sentence. They come after the verb. • Example:Tom likes football.He likes it. • Possessive Adjectives show who owns something. They go before a noun. • Example:Tom’s favorite sport is football.His favorite sport is football. • Possessive Pronouns show ownership. They take the place of a noun. • Example:It’s not Tom’sfootball. It’smy football. It’s not his. It’s mine.
