  3. Thank You! • To those who… • Recycled – we appreciate it! • Came to our last meeting! You made our first party of the year a success. • Donated money to KCCP ($87 total!) • Helped with Pie & Poinsettia Delivery • Attended the Seattle Marathon • Helped make Recycling posters • Ordered a T-Shirt this week!

  4. KCCP Benefit Dinner • Sunday, December 4th • 5 pm to 9 pm • Golden Steer Restaurant in Kent • Join other Kent and Renton Key Clubbers in this cause • 20% of proceeds go to the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program (KCCP) • Please call ahead of time! • “All You Can Eat Ribs” 

  5. Wheelchair Basketball • Saturday, December 3rd – 4th • Volunteers needed for the largest tournament in the Northwest • West Seattle High School • Record Keeper, Time Keeper and Scoreboard Recorder • 28 games total (see Facebook or the Website for time and shifts) • info@seattleadaptivesports.com

  6. Handbooks • Thank you to those who turned in handbooks! • Out of the 267 of you, only 108 turned in handbooks… • As a club, we have completed 1036.5 hours of service! • We tallied hours and put in recycling (for on time ones) • Handbooks are in the box – pick it up after the meeting

  7. Member of the Quarter • Each quarter, we honor a member who has done the most service out of their class • Based on hours, attendance, dues paid and recommendation from an officer • Handbook turned in on time • Special Certificate!

Hours Ranking • Each quarter, we will collect your handbooks and count hours • Based on your number of in and out hours, you could achieve these ranks: • Bronze – At least 10 hours (5 in, 2 out) • Silver – At least 25 hours (10 in, 5 out) • Gold – At least 50 hours (20 in, 20 out) • DCON discounts and recognition will be given based on your ranking

District Convention (DCON) • What is DCON? • A weekend to learn about Key Club on a district level, bond with new friends, attend workshops, a fancy dinner and the Governor’s Ball! • When is DCON? • March 30th to April 1st, 2012 • How much does it cost? • $220 • Scholarships available on hours rankings (refer to your handbooks)

District Convention (DCON) • Start thinking about it! • Don’t let price be an issue, we can work around that • Our goal for this year is to have 50 members attend and support Governor Varun as the home club • Registration is due by January 31st • Contact an officer if you are interested in attending

  18. Recycling Kick-Off • Monday, December 5th • Collaborative project with the City of Kent, Kent School District and KR Leadership • New bins in the lunch room • “Green Week” • 6-12 people needed to supervise bins per lunch • Sign up with Kristy Kwon

  19. Homeless Students • 2 boys, 1 girl and a family of 6 • Gift cards, donations for food/gas, shoes & warm clothes • Please help these Chargers and their families! • Donations will be accepted through December 16th

  20. King 5 Home Team Harvest • Saturday, December 3rd • Please see me after the meeting!

  21. Lieutenant Governor Elections • Want to run all Key Clubs in our division? Listen up! • Any club member can run • Huge responsible – must be committed to this position • Candidate packet due on December 20th • Can be found on the website

  22. Fairwood Tutoring • Fairwood Elementary needs 6 volunteers to tutor 3rd graders in math/reading • Mondays and Wednesdays • Directly after school (before 2:30) to 3pm • Great source of out hours • Starting soon • Contact Anna Baker

  23. Glenridge Tutoring • Glenridge Elementary needs volunteers in their program for ELL students • Tuesdays and Thursdays • 3:40pm to 5:10pm • Great source of out hours • Starting soon! • Contact Anna Baker

  24. Sadies • Volunteers needed! • Set Up– Saturday (17th) • 9 am to noon • 20 volunteers max • Contact Tracy Tran • Bring cookies to B-5 starting December 12th • 1 dozen = ½ hour • ½ hour max

  25. Recycling • After school EVERY Friday unless otherwise noted • Meet in Room B-5 • First come, first serve • Need all the help we can get!
