  1. Welcome to Oakland Catholic High School! Spirituality, Scholarship, Service

  2. Today isFriday, March 7 Day 1

  3. Today is Eucharistic Adoration for the Sophomores.   • All are welcome to come and pray any time throughout the day.  

  4. Freshman volleyball will have an early release at 1:49 to travel to Seneca Valley.   • Good luck girls!

  5. Today there is a practice 8th periodin room G10 for all students participating in the Spirit Week Mass on Monday.   • This includes readers, gift bearers, flower bearers, altar servers, andall extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion.  

  6. All students doing a talent show act that requires music should come to the main office at the start of homeroom.

  7. Attention Seniors! • There will be a meeting for hall decoration on Friday, March 7 after school in the Study Area! • Please attend.

  8. “Attention graduating seniors -- go to WPIAL.org or FCBanking.com -- and apply for one of the First Commonwealth Bank “Time to Be First” College Scholarships.  • A total of 20, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded!  • The winners will attend a banquet with guest speaker, Clint Hurdle!  • The deadline for entries is March the 28th.”

  9. The OC girls fencing team won the championship on Friday(2/28) and got the first place for the high school tournament. Congratulations, Team!

  10. The sophomore class will be having a meeting to discuss  staircase decorating Friday March 7 directly after school in room 213. • Anyone who is interested in helping with the staircase please plan to attend!

  11. Spirit Week 2014 dress • Monday- Mass – Dress up day • Tuesday- Tie dye day- dress down and wear a tie dye shirt ! • Wednesday- America day- dress down and wear your red, white and blue! All must wear tennis shoes today! • Thursday- circle of life day • Freshmen – babies • Sophomores- Tweens • Juniors- adult soccer Moms • Seniors – senior old ladies! • Friday – Class color day- dress in your color!  • If you do not participate in the dress of the day you must be in uniform!

  12. Attention Sophomores The Jostens class ring company will be at school to take class ring orders on Wednesday, March 12 Orders will be taken all lunch periods in the Study Area To order you only need a $50 deposit!

  13. GILDA’S CLUB BATTLE OF THE BANDS • TICKETS 3 DOLLARS AT LUNCH

  14. Are you looking for a fun, rewarding, and exhilarating activity? Then rowing sounds like the sport for you! Come hang out with the crew team at the boathouse this Friday. You'll get a full rowing experience and make new friends! For more information, talk to Senior captains Christina Moody and Julianna Fellowes, or anyone on the team. We'll see you on the water! The fun starts at 6pm at the Millvale boathouse.  

  15. A couple times a week, we are going to play inspirational Christian music in the morning, as a positive way to start your day.  Music lifts the soul to God! 

  16. SENIORS • Please bring your college letters to the Guidance Office.  All acceptances, waitlist, denial, and scholarship letters must be copied. • Thank You!
