    29. Cover 7 New Features Classroom Staff absence recorded in Cover Management is automatically included in P7’s staff absence data. Intuitive Cover Diary display shows the day’s absences and room closures and the resulting cover requirements, and suggests which resources to assign according to rules set up by the school. Unlimited “knock-on” cover arrangements. Assign additional resources (staff and rooms) to lessons

    30. Cover 7 New Features Supply staff booking system Assign external volunteers and students (e.g. parents) to lessons in the same manner as staff. Accurately tally cover done by staff in terms of time, in support of the Workforce Reform 37 hour cover limit.

    31. Cover 7 New Features Student impact analysis takes in to account student attendance! Suspend classes for individual periods, not just whole days. “Semi-automatic” cover mode suggests the teacher/room to use then moves on to the next problem to solve.

    32. Cover 7 Links Cover 7 reads the timetable imported from Nova T4/T6 Cover 7 reads classroom staff absences entered through P7 Cover 7 writes classroom staff absences to P7 Proposed Cover 7 writes Service Agreements to P7 when Supply staff are booked Home Page Timeline shows Cover data (and in future any 3rd part timetabling software which submits data to the Curriculum Matching wizard.) 33. Academic Management Alternative Curriculum

    34. Academic Management Alternative Curriculum Assigning particular students to activities outside of their normal eligibility structure These activities may be part of a special area of the curriculum plan, eligibility for which does not derive from membership of a school year and band. A typical feature of alternative curriculum is that the amount of time a particular student spends doing an activity will vary.

    35. Academic Management Alternative Curriculum The process of creation and maintenance of student timetables becomes; Assign students to “normal” activities (classes) Immediately, or at some later time, assign students to alternative curriculum activities Identify and resolve clashes at affected periods as required.

    36. Nova-T Printing Reports (General Student reports and Class lists) Death dates for Nova T4 are: For Timetable construction Sept 2008 For Cover Feb 2009 For Reporting 12 months from replacement Replacement of Nova-T4

    43. Example pupil tracking grid introduced by the Primary National Strategy as part of the Intensifying Support Programme. Often used on a termly basis to track all pupils’ progress in all years, to ensure none go unnoticed, with the names typed into Word or Excel or handwritten.Example pupil tracking grid introduced by the Primary National Strategy as part of the Intensifying Support Programme. 44. Once the data is in the tracking marksheets the tracking reports can be populated instantly, to give an immediate visual understanding of individual pupils’ progress. The reports will be set up ready to use with the marksheets, but LAs/schools will be able to customise them. There will be a number of output options for these reports, including yearly and termly progress, and also what in Performance Analysis are called ‘Chance Analysis’, which shows each pupil’s current progress against their expected progress based on previous SATs results.Once the data is in the tracking marksheets the tracking reports can be populated instantly, to give an immediate visual understanding of individual pupils’ progress.
