  3. God’s Mercy Why? “I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities,” Psalms 31:7 Ephesians 2:4, 5 “God, who is rich in mercy,” “By grace you have been saved” Without mercy where would we be ?

  4. Christ’s Exaltation Why? Psalms 118:22-24 “stone which the builders rejected” “become chief cornerstone” 1 Peter 2:4-7 “spiritual house” Romans 11:11

  5. Persecutions Why? Matthew 5:11-12 “blessed are you when they revile and persecute” “rejoice and be exceeding glad” Luke 6:23 “leap for joy” 1 Peter 4:12-14

  6. God’s Word Why? Big Book of Rules List of “Thou shall nots” “I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure” Psalms 119:162 “I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.” Psalms 119:14

  7. Worshipping God Why? “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the Lord”. Psalms 122:1 He was interested in worshipping God Those who love God will be happy at the opportunity!
