  2. How was genocide carried out • Sudanese government and the Janjaweed, have fought rebel groups in the western region of Darfur. They have attacked the rebels, and civilians who are the same race or ethnicity as the rebels, they kept the rebels and civilian's In a genocide campaign that lasted from 2003 to 2005, at least 200,000 civilians died from violence, disease, starvation, and over 2 million people fled there homes.

  3. How was propaganda used • There wasn’t any propaganda used.

  4. What type of violence used • The main type of violence were concentration camps, weapons, rape, murder, torture, disease etc. There homes burned and there property stolen and persecution based on race, ethnicity, and religion

  5. How was technology used • They used many weapons to attack the rebels and civilians such as: Bombing civilians from aircraft and guns.

  6. The Perpetrators • Arabic speaking groups launch attacks against the masalit people, burning 53 villages, and killing 23 men

  7. Perpetrators • The main reason why is because the rebels were getting out of hand killing and kidnapping civilians, as well as burning down there villages and houses

  9. Who were the victims? People in Darfur. Men, women, and children. Arab Africans

  10. Why was this group targeted? The combination of decades of drought, densification, and overpopulation are among the causes of the Darfur conflict. The pastoralist Baggara nomads searching for water have to take their livestock farther south, and this causes conflict in land primarily occupied by Black African farming communities.

  13. How does this fit the definition of genocide??? 1 act of genocide was a series of attacks that have characterized as rape, torture, and burning of entire elements to the ground.

  14. How were the perpetrators portrayed in the media? • They media portrayed the government as the cause of the rebel and civilian death. Blaming them for their deaths and crisis.

  15. How were the victims portrayed in the media • As if it wasn’t their fault one of the rebel was in trial and found innocent.

  16. How did the media outlets cover the individuals trials. • the media agreed with the trial to find them innocent example #1: "There should be no immunity for anyone. We show our commitment to justice, to support justice for people in Darfur and SUDAN,“ said Bechirniam
