  4. What does God Want You to Learn from the Potter? • God often uses visual images & demonstrations to teach His truths • We Remember • 10% of what we hear • 50% of what we see

  5. Isa. 64:8 • He Creates • He Shapes • He Molds • He Fashions • All for His Purpose 1. God is the Potter

  6. We are not like clay but “we are the clay” (Isa. 64:8) • Gen. 2:7 God made man from the dust of the ground • Man has 99% same minerals and compounds of clay 2. I am Clay

  7. Isaiah 64:8 • I am the work of God’s hands • I need to be shaped • I have purpose • I am meant to be a vessel of service 2. I am Clay

  8. “The vessel that he made of claywas marred in the hand of the potter” (Jer. 18:4) 3. I am Marred

  10. “so He made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make” God didn’t throw the clay out! 4. I can be remade!

  20. “Your right hand upholds me” (Psa. 68:3) • I am thankful for God’s supportive and shaping hand

  21. “until Christ is formed in you”(Gal. 4:19) I am disformed w/o Christ Has Christ been formed in you?
