  2. Aim of todays session • Write a CV in a suitable format • Include and give examples of their skills on a CV • Be able to write a targeted personal profile • Understand the differences between a skills based and chronological CV • Select suitable people to act as Reference

  4. Stand in the Recruiter’s Shoes! What skills do you have to bring to the role? What type of person are you? Why should I choose you for interview? How will your qualifications/ studies help in the job? How are your achievements relevant to the job? What have you learnt from work experience and how has this prepared you for the job?

  5. Preparation • Have any certificates to hand. This will help you accurately record them in your education section. • CV Builder or Free Typed – Think about how you want to present your CV. Remember if you are going to type your own CV, layout is critical. Keep it uncluttered and easy to read. • Consider what you want to say before you make a start. Have a copy of the job description/person specification to hand to check employer requirements. More on following slide……..
