  1. Vacuum Rectification DeviceTechnical BriefingVacuum Rectification Device or rectifier is the core part of the our Vacuum High Speed Water Transportation System. The following major principles are supporting the technology innovation.The main reason to create resistance to water piping system, wither it’s gravity or pressurized, is the air mixed inside the water. For long distance and tortuous pipe line this impact is more remarkable. At water intake mouth, bigger pipe tends to generate vortex than small one. But any big pipe could be replaced by several or many smaller ones in terms of cross section.The submerged depth of intake mouth, no matter how deep it is, can not stop air mixing-in. For example, in the World famous Three Gorges Dam, though the dam height is 185m and the spillway is built 90m under the water, air mixing is remarkable whenever spilling is happening.Therefore, inside the rectifier, we designed hundreds or even thousands of mini rectifiers forming a para-honeycomb structure. These small rectifiers all together provide at least 20% more cross section area than the main pipe line to reduce the inlet flow speed. For longer pipe line the surplus area should be designed more to compensate the higher suction power. The calculation and design for each unit is the knowhow of our company.Importantly, inside each small rectifier, there is a special designed maintenance-free ball valve to respond the flow speed automatically.The special designed rectifier can perform the following functions:Working with vacuum pump, to build up siphon more effectively even for large diameter pipeline.To remove air mixing into the water or any fluid piped. By doing so siphon can be maintained well after shutdown of vacuum pump. Otherwise, conventional siphon system can never work on over 1.5m diameter pipe for longer than 1 km distance continuously.To ensure full pipe and maximum capacity of the piping system.To respond automatically to the variation of pipe-end opening ranging from 1% to 100% . This is very useful to maintain full pipe when river flow is fluctuating. This means a mechanism could be set up by the hydropower designer to synchronize the water level before the weir with the hydro power plant capacity so as to reach continuous operation of the hydro power plant.We believe our system will simplify the hydropower dam structure to reduce construction cost extensively. It can protect valuable power equipment by avoiding cavitation. In some cases it may avoid to build expensive and environmentally hazardous high dam but still obtain high water head by piping water for even over 20km away with our system. In some hydro project, long and open diversion channels wasted lots of hydro power before connecting to pressure pipe which leads to turbine finally.   3. The Theory Breakthrough • Molecular Viscosity is not the major reason for energy or pressure loss during liquid piping.
