  3. Our Target for Today • Share how we implemented RTI in North Clackamas School District • 3 main themes • Building a Foundation • Building Infrastructure • Innovation and where we are going

  4. Flashback to 2003 • Wanted to improve outcomes for all students • Great desire, but needed a ‘road map’

  6. Stop #1: Principals • Started with Literacy • A Core program implemented with fidelity • 90 minute Reading Block • A radical change for NCSD

  7. Sacred Cows of Traditional Education • The Master Schedule • Recess • Staff are not trained • How we have always done it… • 2 years of dialogue
