Itinerary: Sunday 7th July Morning 02.00: Meet at CVC at 2am at the front of the school 02.20: Depart on coach to Heathrow Airport 04.10: Check in at Gatwick (Flight no: 8529) 06.10: Depart for Naples CapodichinoAirport 09.45: Arrive at Naples Capodichino Airport 10.30: Coach departs for Solfatara 11.15: Group arrives at Solfatara 12.30-13.30: Packed lunch – not included in price 13.45: Coach departs for Piano di Sorrento 15.30 Coach arrives at the Hotel la Ripetta, Piano di Sorrento – check in and unpack. Explore town and go to the beach. 19.00: Evening meal at the hotel Information about the next day and time to settle into hotel

Itinerary: Monday 8th July 8.00: Breakfast at the hotel 9:00: Leave for visit to Mount Vesuvius 10.30: Arrive at Mount Vesuvius and tour by an alpine guide 12.30: Depart for Pompeii 13.00: Lunch included 14.00: Visit Pompeiiwith a guide 16.00: Time for students to take photographs 16.30: Leave to return to the hotel 18.00: Arrive at hotel 19.00: Evening meal at the hotel Evening activities on the beach

Itinerary: Tuesday 9th July 8.00: Breakfast at the hotel 8.45: Leave for a visit to Capri 9.20: Arrive at harbour to catch the hydrofoil – please pack travel sickness tablets! 10.15: Arrive on Capri and explore the island 10.30: Catch chairlift to Ana Capri for an ice-cream at the top! 12.30: 2 course lunch on Ana Capri (included in tour price) 13.30: Students have an opportunity to buy souvenirs 15.30: Catch minibuses down to the harbour 16.20:Catch the hydrofoil back to Naples 16.45: Chance to spend time in Sorrentofor souvenir shopping 17.45: Return to the hotel 19.00: Evening meal at the hotel Evening activity: Quiz night!

Itinerary: Wednesday 10th July 8.00: Breakfast at the hotel 9.00: Leave for visit to Herculaneum 10.15: Arrive at Herculaneum and collect headsets for a guide around the site 12.00: Lunch on site included 13.00: Leave to go to Sorrento 14.15: Arrive at Sorrento 15.30: Ice-cream making and tasting session 17.30: Free time for shopping and sightseeing in Sorrento – time to buy snacks for flight the following day! 18.30: Leave to return to the hotel Time to pack luggage before final evening meal 19.30: Evening meal and prize giving!

Itinerary: Thursday 11thApril 06.30: Breakfast (last meal included) 0700: Coach departs hotel for Naples Capodichino Airport 0815: Coach arrives at Naples CapodichinoAirport and check in (Flight no: Easyjet 8530) 10.15: Flight departs for Gatwick (no meal on flight – students will have a chance to buy snacks the day before) 12.00: Flight arrives at Gatwick – lunch on coach 14.30/15.00: Approximate arrival time at CVC - please make arrangements to collect your son/daughter. Telephone tree will be used to notify you of any changes.

  8. Expectations on the trip • Students will be registered in groups and assigned to a specific member of staff. Students must listen carefully to instructions and act on these immediately. • Students will be expected to adhere to instructions at all times. • Students must be responsible on the trip – for themselves, others and their belongings! • Students must be polite and respectful to all staff. • Students will not be allowed to buy tobacco or alcohol on the trip. • Please read through the Behaviour policy. Both parent and son/daughter needs to sign this and return to the History/RPE office by Friday 28th June

  9. Recommended items to take! • Appropriate and sensible clothing – it will be hot and humid • Suntan lotion is HIGHLY recommended!! • Sensible shoes…walking is a key part of the trip! • Camera • Spending money & 10 euros deposit for the room (per student!) – recommended amount per day is approximately 20 euros

  10. Staff will keep hold of passports for the trip –please bring these (& EHICs)to the History/RPE office on Friday 28th June The ONLY time students will have these is when passing through customs. Mobile phones to be brought at own risk Ipods / MP3s useful for coach journeys, and camera for taking pictures, but carried at own risk Money Valuables and Passports

  11. Luggage allowance Students have a luggage allowance of: Hand luggage = One piece of standard baggage no bigger then 56 x 45 x 25cmincluding wheels and the handle Please note that hand luggage should NOT contain liquids of 100mls+ Checked luggage = One piece not exceeding 20 kg

  12. Rooming on the trip • Students will be expected to attend a meeting next Tuesday lunchtime at 12.40pm in Hi1 • Students will be in rooms of threes and fours • Staff rooms will be dotted around student rooms and students will be made aware of where they are. • There will be no swapping of rooms once these are agreed • Girls and boys rooms are separate!

  13. Final reminders! • Students need a packed lunch for Sunday 7th July and 10 euros for deposit! • Students attend rooming meeting next Tuesday at 12.40 in Hi1 • Please check that your son/daughter has their passport and EHIC card in date – passed to Ms Titchmarsh by Friday 28th June • Return behavioural policy by Friday 28th June to Ms Titchmarsh in the History/RPE office • Please note the times of drop-off (2am on Sunday 7th July) and pick-up (2.30pm on Thursday 11th July) • Students are expected to be in school the following day not in school uniform.
