  2. Major Emphasis • “Children: Their future, Our focus” • Focusing on the early stages of life of children to give them many opportunities to become caring leaders. • Projects: Read to a Kindergarten class, Family Fun Day, Literacy night

  3. Preferred Charities • Charity: (Noun): The voluntary giving of help, often money, to those in need. • There are a plethora of charities in the world, all with a focus. • Be sure to research them before conducting business!

  4. Partners of CNH • We have three main preferred charities as follows: • Children’s Miracle Network • March of Dimes • UNICEF • You are not limited to these, BEE on the watch for local organizations!

  5. Children’s Miracle Network

  6. Children’s Miracle Network • Mission: Raise funds and awareness for our local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. These funds are used to purchase equipment and pay for uncompensated care.

  7. What they do: Contributions to Children’s Miracle Network benefit an array of pediatric programs and services and it impacts young lives battling virtually every type of childhood illness and injury.

  9. Signature Events: Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day A portion of proceeds from every Blizzards sold during this one day event is donated to Children’s Miracle Network IHOP Pancake breakfast IHOP stores invite guests to enjoy a free stack of pancakes for a $5 donation in return. Red Knights Ride

  11. March of Dimes • Mission: To help moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies.

  12. What they do: Develop and implement local programs that will ultimately improve the health of babies. Through their network of volunteers, these programs reach over a million people across the country and Puerto Rico each year. Funds donated to the organization is used to fund research and innovative programs for mothers and babies

Signature Events: Formal balls Signature Chef Auctions and Dinners Gives the community a chance to sample foods from top-rated chefs in your community as well as auction food and travel packages Motorcycles rides (Bikers for Babies) Gives the motorcyclist in your community a reason to donate to March of Dimes Golf tournaments Include celebrities, a nice vendor, or have a simple, local tournament March for Babies

  15. UNICEF • Mission: UNICEF is supported by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.

  16. What they do: Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF is a global humanitarian relief organization providing children with health care and immunizations, clean water, nutrition and food security, education, emergency relief and more.  Signature Events: Trick or Treat for UNICEF

Initiatives • Hersheys’ Track & Field • Program to help children get on the right track, teaching lifelong lessons and having fun every step, leap, jump and throw along the way. • Nickelodeon Day of Play • Annual Worldwide Day of Play to spread awareness of childhood obesity and to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
