  4. In other words, it had to be a UNI-VERSE! Romans 8:28, which says, “And we have known that to those loving God all things do work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose,” was no surprise to me! (It’s the “science of the Spirit”!) He is the ultimate “synchronicity”!

  5. People describe it as “being conformed to the image of Christ” (Romans 8:29) but somehow we still manage to say that as if its drudgery! BEING MADE “HOLY” is not being made BORING or less of a person—it is being made WHOLE! It IS God expanding His territory through you—changing you for the BETTER and making you in every way HEALTHIER in the process!

  6. III John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. IS NOT JUST LITERARY “FLUFF”!

  7. GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF HEALTH, NOT DYSFUNCTION OR INAUTHENTICITY! HE WANTS TO INVADE YOUR INNER TERRITORY, NOT TO “CONQUER” YOU, BUT TO CONQUER THE HINDRANCES TO YOU BEING FREE TO ACTUALLY BE YOU!!!!

  8. In Matthew 16, Peter had an initial “window and mirror” moment with Jesus! That moment is continually available, however! Every time you discover more of HIM, SURPRISE!—you discover more of who you are! (We all only make sense “in the face of” His glory!)

  9. “Sanctification” (“grow in grace” II Peter 3:18): Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all His innermost parts. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Romans 12:2 Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…

  10. Sanctification—letting your completed salvation extend its domain more and more in your life—is simply cooperating with His desire to “set up shop” in your personality! It’s NOT foreign to you—it is the most authentic thing you will ever experience! As He expands His territory inside you, you will find your authentic voice! (Christ is in you as you…)

  11. WHEN THE LIFE OF GOD DEPOSITED IN YOU MOVES OUTWARD FROM YOUR SPIRIT TO YOUR SOUL AND BODY, HOW COULD YOU NOT CHANGE FOR THE BETTER??? God doesn’t so much have an agenda to fix you as He does have a natural tendency to show up and make things whole! Ezekiel 47:9 Every kind of living creature that swarms will live wherever the river flows, and there will be a huge number of fish because this water goes there. Since the water will become fresh, there will be life everywhere the river goes.

  12. I Thessalonians 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, SANCTIFY you through and through. May your whole SPIRIT, SOUL, AND BODY be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have been saved. (spirit) We are being saved. (soul) We will be saved! (body)

I Corinthians 1:30 By God’s doing are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. “Made” = ginomai–to EMERGE, become, transitioning from one point, realm or condition to another! One Greek scholar says it means to “come into manifestation implying motion, movement or growth. Thus it is used for God’s actions emerging from eternity and showing themselves in time and physical space!”

  14. I Corinthians 1:30 By God’s doing are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us (1) wisdom, and (2) righteousness, and (3) sanctification, and (4) redemption. QUESTION: What if those four words are not just a list, but also a process?

  15. WISDOM: Romans 7:15 I don't really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don't do it. Instead, I do what I hate. PLUS: James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

  16. WISDOM: INSIGHT INTO THE TRUE NATURE OF A THING (BEYOND MERE INFORMATION) JESUS IS WISDOM—HE DISPENSES IT FREELY! THE HOLY SPIRIT EVERYWHERE IS CALLED COUNSELLOR! He knows what is really going on in my situations and He wants to share! TRUE UNDERSTANDING OF MOTIVATION IS A GIFT FROM HEAVEN!

  17. RIGHTEOUSNESS: When you see where the problem is—you don’t need to waste a moment wondering what to do! The cross has already dealt with it—it just hasn’t been applied to that area because you didn’t realize what was really going on until WISDOM! Wisdom might take waiting on God—but RIGHTEOUSNESS??? THAT’S IMMEDIATE!!!! II Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

  18. RIGHTEOUSNESS: What just IS—how it works and functions Used in actual practice to solve problems!

SANCTIFICATION: Philippians 2:12-13 And so, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only when I was with you but even more now that I am absent, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. LET’S UNPACK THAT!

  20. SANCTIFICATION: It isn’t always instant change in your experience—sometimes you have to remember, rehearse, and reinforce! 2. You are not “working ON” your own salvation—you are WORKING OUT what God put inside you! (Like the gym— lift the weight—the glory--of the cross a few more reps!) 3. That troubling “fear and trembling” wording! (I ignored it for years, but now I have a new take on it! Not fear and trembling about your adoption by God but about the awkwardness you feel at times in growth!)

  21. SANCTIFICATION: Galatians 6:9 (Do not become weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint.) Ben Campbell Johnson’s “Relational Paraphrase”: Don’t become depressed or discouraged by the anxiety you experience in developing new and positive ways of expressing your being. You will eventually come to maturity if you do not quit the task. Again, like the gym—at first it’s awkward---like LUNGES!!!!!

  22. REDEMPTION: I John 1:9 Anyone having been born of God does not practice sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to continue sinning, because he has been born of God. Psalm 119:3 They do no iniquity; they walk in His ways. I John 5:18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

  23. REDEMPTION: Ephesians 4:27 Give no place to the devil… Also translated opportunity, and one translation says, “Don’t give the devil a chance,” but the Greek is TOPOS—which is a literal PLACE, or REGION—a topography!

  24. GOD TAKES TERRITORY “OUT THERE” AS HE TAKES IT IN AND THROUGH YOU! II Corinthians 1:4 tells us that He “comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” Comfort—all 3 times is paraklete! NOT JUST EMOTIONAL COMFORT BUT SUBSTANCE!

  25. IN GOD’S GLORIOUS SCHEME OF THINGS, YOUR TROUBLES REALLY DO FUEL YOUR LIFE AND YOUR MINISTRY TO OTHERS !!!! HOW RIDICULOUS THE PLOY OF THE ENEMY IS TO MAKE YOU THINK THE TROUBLES DISQUALIFY YOU! (Romans 8:28 hopefully seems deeper, bigger and more wonderful now to you!)

  26. Jehovah M’Kaddesh IS A GOOD PARENT!!! (He’s a good, good Father…)

  27. He doesn’t have a “fix-you” agenda as much as a “dance-with-you” wholeness (holiness) process! Just as in natural parenting, you are pleased with and totally enjoy each stage of your children’s growth, so the Father does NOT come down on you all at once with everything you need to learn! In that sense, the most important thing you can pray might be, “Daddy, what are we working on right now?” He has the PERFECT scope and sequence to help you grow!

  28. Not just the Lord who makes you free, but the Lord who makes you “free indeed”….! (John 8:36)
