  2. 2013 Season Members • Three Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 • 21 Teams • Welcome Monadnock and welcome back Algonquin! • Welcome returning clubs: Concord, Executive, Great Bay, Hampshire Hills, Hampton, Mountainside, Nashua, YMCA

NHWWL Mission to strengthen the doubles partnership. • Players are encouraged to work with a specific partner to develop doubles tactics and strategies.  We encourage equal play of all team members. • Doubles partners in this league hone their skills throughout the season and ultimately compete in the Diva Doubles Tournament.  Without the challenge of team championships, our league compliments other district advancing leagues.  Each player is motivated to improve her NTRP rating by playing well during the season and in the end-of-season tournament.

  5. Team Requirements • 3.0 and 3.5 teams: 6 at-level players • 4.0 teams: 4 at-level players • ESL ratings • Travel League: 4 home and 4 away matches • USTA membership must be valid through the end of the local season • 13 player maximum on a team

  6. League Play • 3.0 and 3.5 levels play 3 positions • Algonquin will stagger matches • 4.0 level plays 2 positions • Matches are timed • 10-minute warm-up • 1 hour and 50 minutes of play

  7. League Play • Best of 3 sets • Third set is a 10-point match tie-break • 2-2-2 rule applies if time runs out • Players must know the rules • No captain involvement • What is agreed upon on the court stands

  8. League Play • Practice good sportsmanship • Be flexible and plan ahead • Communicate with team members, team captains, NHWWL committee members • Contact league coordinator and cc visiting captains with agreed upon changes .

  9. 2013 Season Timeline • September 28th – December 9thmake-up matches by December 16th • Diva Doubles Tournament: mid January • Advancing 3.5 and 4.0 doubles partners play in Tri-Level Section Championship: mid January

  10. Diva Doubles Tournament • End of NHWWL Season Event • Mid-January Tournament • Registration in December • Register with your partner as a doubles pair • Volunteers Needed • Charity Raffle

  11. 2012 Diva Doubles Champions • 3.0 Level: Kellie Carlin and Dawn Mayo from Nashua • 3.5 Level: Kristin Stetson and Katherine Joslin from Mountainside • 4.0 Level: Sandra Tuttle and Clare Donahue from Cranmore

  12. Tri-Level League • 3.5 and 4.0 doubles partners • 2 to 4 players per level • Unique to NHWWL • Championships • Sections in MA • Nationals in Indian Wells, CA

  13. 2012 Tri-Level Competitors • 3.5 players: Missy Van Lokeren, Kathryn Pitten, and Sherry Hall from Hampshire Hills • 4.0 players: Gail Costello and Ellie Thompson from Cranmore

  14. Tri-Level Contenders • Partners declare interests to captains • Play together minimum of 2 games • D1 or D2 • Captains submit (two?) partnerships to LC by November 4th • NHWWL Committee selects winners • Comparative Rankings: Win/Loss • Combined NTRP rating
