  3. What do we do? • tell learners what they need to learn and how they will know they have been successful • help learners understand what constitutes quality work • help to develop the skills and techniques required to assess what they have achieved

  4. How do we do it ? • model marking a piece of work • paired marking/ buddy /shoulder partners • talking partners • two stars and a wish • what did you learn today - teacher/buddy/ parent • learning logs / termly targets • talk about thinking • have sticky will evaluate • rubrics

  5. Debrief regularly * what made you think? * what helped you? * what do you need more help with? * what are you most pleased about learning? * how/what would you change?
