  3. John 14:1 ¶ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  4. Context • Jesus is going to leave • They will see him crucified • John 14,15, and 16 – words of comfort Jesus Speaks …of a place …of a preparation …of a path

  5. A Place “His Father’s house” = heaven “Place” = an actual place Faith – 2 Cor. 4:18 Real people go to heaven Will we know each other in heaven ?

  6. A Preparation God “eternal purpose” Eph.3:10-11 Sin – Gen. 3:15 “in thy seed” - Gen. 22:18 “thy seed, which is Christ.” - Gal. 3:16 John 3:16 “For God so loved the world,…”
