  4. 10. For He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. 11. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. 1 Pet. 3:10-11 NKJV

  5. Quote from Psalms 34:12-14 12. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13. Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

  9. His Lips Speak no Deceit 2 Deceit = guile, snare, a lure To speak deceitfully Praise that is not sincere Flattery

  10. “A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.” Prov.29:5 “He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.” Prov.20:19

  11. Turn from Evil and Do Good 3 Bend away from - turn aside Christians shun, avoid evil 1 Thes. 5:22 “Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
