  1. THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA CROATIA IS SITUATED AT THE CROSSROAD OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST EUROPE and THE ADRIATIC SEA.

  2. THE CAPITAL CITY OF CROATIA IS ZAGREB WHICH FORMS ONE OF THE COUNTRY`S PRIMARY SUBDIVISIONS,ALONG WITH ITS TWENTY COUNTIES. CROATIA HAS A TOTAL AREA OF 56,594 SQUARE KILOMETERS AND A POPULATION OF 4,28 MILLION.

ZAGREB- a CAPITAL CITY OF CROATIA • Zagreb is the biggest city in Croatia and it has 790.017 citizens. • It has grown from two settlements,Gradec and Kaptol,wihch are making a core and historical center. • Zagreb is also a scientific and administrative center of Croatia. • It’s really beautiful city that is worth visiting.

  4. COAT OF ARMS OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA THE COAT OF ARMS OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE CROATIA CONSISTS OF ONE MAIN SHIELD AND FIVE SMALLER SHIELDSWHICH FORM A CROWN OVER THE MAIN SHIELD. THE MAIN COAT OF ARMS IS A CHECKERBOARD THAT CONSISTS OF 13 RED AND 12 WHITE FIELDS.

  5. NATURAL BEAUTIES OF CROATIA CROATIA IS KNOWN FOR ITS BEAUTIFUL BEACHES AND MANY NATIONAL PARKS LOCATED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.

  7. PULA ARENA Pula Arena is Roman amphitheatre that dates from the 1st century. It has got 72 arches on each of fist two floors and 64 openings on the top floor. Today, people go to Pula Arena to concerts, festivals, sporting events and other events there.

  9. SOLIN There are remains of the ancient town of Salona which can still be seen in Solin today. Julius Caesar proclaimed Salona as the centre of the Roman province of Dalmatia. The town centre had city walls and towers.

TUSCULUM MUSEUM • Manastirine Necropolis is the best preserved complex IinSalona and includes a building called Tusculum. • FraneBulić ordered the construction of this building for the First Early Christianity Archaeology Conference, held in Solin and Split in 1894. • Bulić named the building "Tusculum" after Cicero's villa.

  11. This is The Bibile garden. It is located on mountain Kozjak. The Pope Ivan Pavao II visited this garden.

  12. Diocletian`s Palace Diocletian`s Palace is in Split. It is an ancient palace builtfor the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Diocletian`s Palace is 215 meters wide and the walls are 26 meters high. It is like a city inside a city and it has got a domed cathedral and three temples for theRoman Gods Jupiter,Cybele and Venus.

  13. The Temple of Jupiter has got Egyptian sphinexes outside of it. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

  14. MY HOMETOWNKAŠTELA

  15. Kaštela is a town in southwest Croatia and it's placed between two UNESCO protected cities - Trogir and Split. There is also long seafront and big hill Kozjak above. In Kaštela there are seven smaller places: Kaštel Sućurac,Kaštel Gomilica,Kaštel Kambelovac,Kaštel Lukšić,Kaštel Stari,Kaštel Novi and Kaštel Štafilić.They got their names by big historical forts witch people used for protection in the past.

  16. KAŠTEL GOMILICA was built in the first half of the 16th century by the Benedictine nuns from Split. KaštelGomilica was used as one of the shooting locations in the HBO series Game of Thrones where it was used as a backdrop for the free city of Braavos.

  17. KAŠTEL KAMBELOVAC was built by the aristocratic family Cambi from Split. In 1517. noblemen and landowners from Split, brother Jerolim and Nikola Cambi, built a castle on an islet to protect themselves and residents of Lažan and Kruševik settlements.

  18. THE MASTRINKA OLIVE TREE is more than 1500 years old. It is in KaštelŠtafilić. It has got deep roots.

  19. KAŠTILACKaštilac is a fortress dating from 1529.It was built on an islandconnected to the mainland by a bridge.A few years ago, the popularseries named „Game of Trones”was shot there.

  20. Sports in our county There are many sports in our county. Very popular sports are rowing,swimming and football.

  21. Very popular sport club in our county is fotball club Hajduk Split. It is one hundred and seven years old.

  24. Women, on the island of Pag learnt how to make Pag lace from her mother and grandmothers. Each family added a personal touch, something unique and special. In 2009 Lace making in Croatia, represented by Lepoglava lace, Pag lace and Hvar lace,was inscribedin the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

  25. Licitar hearts Licitar hearts are made out of ginger.They do not necessarily need to be hearts,they can be madeinother shapes like:horses,bells,mirrors and other interesting shapes.They can have your name or name of cities in Croatialike:Zagreb,Split,Zadar…

  26. SEA SPONGE KRAPANJ is a little island and it is famous for its sea sponges.

  27. Sea sponge is a very common souvenir in Dalmatia. They are yellow and absorb sea with their holes Sponge of about 20 cm per day can filter up 2000 l of sea water. The most famous sponge in the world is Sponge Bob

  28. TIEWord tie , (Croatian ”kravata”) came from french word ”Croatia” and it is considered originally Croatian product

  29. LAVANDERLavander is a beautiful decoration flower.It has nice smell.It is used in floral souvenirs. It is purple color with a green stalk

  30. OLIVE OIL IS:- a traditional Mediterranean product- made from olive fruit- used as food or spice
