  1. Curators Exhibit module 8Historic Battle sites tour By: Kevin Hampton

  2. Historic Battle sites • We are going to explore the D-Day Beaches. We are also going to take a tour or should I a stop at Gettysburg. Then it is off to the battle of Lexington . Then we will make a quick stop to a WW1 battle memorial. Then last but not least a stop Gas chambers of Germany. Then we will stop by not a battle site but Ground Zero a site of a terrorist attack.

  3. D-Day Beaches

  4. D-day memorial • This is the site of that famous battle that shaped the outcome of world war two. The main reason why I stopping here is due to the fact that if this battle did not get the outcome as we wanted all history as we know it and you or I may not even do it. This site some people say call as the longest day ever. One fantastic fact that the battle was postponed a day due to two rough weather and not save water conditions. This is a site many people call a day that changed the world and ended communist for ever. I personal think this site should be remembered as a victory for all and not just the allies.

  5. Gettysburg http://www.gettysburgfoundation.org/battlefield-tours.htm

  6. Gettysburg • Now we are in Gettysburg a place where the biggest battle still today that happened on American soil. The big reason why I choose to pick this battle site was due to the fact it was a huge turning point of the civil war. In this battle alone 51,000 soldiers of the 165,00 soldiers were ever killed or died. This battle field has many big moments in American history from the famous speech known as the Gettysburg address. I love to know that this was the beginning of the end of the civil war. This battle was on July 3rd, 1863 it was just a long defeat and no real victor at the end just strong losses on both sides of the battle fields.

  7. The Battle of Lexington http://www.hmdb.org/marker.asp?marker=18631

  8. The Battle of Lexington • The battle that started Americas fight for freedom from the British. This Battle is said to be started by the shot heard around the World. The reason why I added this battle site to are Museum tour was over it was the first battle of the American Revolution also this battle was the start of the Revolution. This battle is the lead to our future of today freedom and liberty. We also need to always remember the people and people who gave up there lives in the first battle of the American Revolution.

  9. Holocaust Gas Chambers http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Poland/Birkenau/Birkenau03.html

  10. Holocaust Gas Chambers Now we are standing inside a Holocaust Gas Chamber that killed millions and millions of people. The Reason why I choose this was it is just up setting to see that this was the last thing those people say also there were basically not just shot but they killed them and left them to die a slow and painful death in this room full of people and gas. The one thing that is so evil it is not funny is that this was all done by a single person Hitler the evilest man to ever live right behind the devil better yet he was the devil. This room seen many people die and die in a slow death of pain and fighting to survive any which way.

  11. Ground Zero http://www.national911memorial.org/site/PageServer?pagename=New_Home

  12. Ground Zero • This is some what of a current site and a site that is going to become a memorial to 9/11. The one real big reason why I choose to add this to are tour was due to the simple fact of the way it has effected the USA today. This site is one that not never be forgotten this is going to be a memorial of the 9/11 attacks. It is going to be in the same and I mean the same exact location that the attacks took place. It was a moment in history that I remember my self. I know it is not a battle site but it was an attack. The one thing that makes it neat is that it brought America closer together then ever before. As the saying goes now it is not ground zero but ground hero for all the rescuers and civilizations we lost that day. This is a site that I say any one who was around when the attack happened should go finish when it is all done and completed and just never forget that day ever.
