Webmail ServiceIntroduction • Gibtelecomhas been offering a tariff free webmail service for over 10 years and widely used by our valued customers. • Agents from both NOC Tier 1 and Tier 2 use webmail as a diagnostic tool for troubleshooting any email related issues a customer may have with their account. • The originally webmail product, was configured by Sendmail, in 2004. • In 2007 a further upgrade to the mail server applications allowed for a newer version of a webmail client was installed and ready to be launched but this never came to fruition. • Therefore 2004 webmail client was still in use. The webmail client aesthetics felt out of date and additionally both versions of the webmail client were was also no longer supported so an alternative webmail service was needed. 2

  3. Webmail Service2004Webmail Client Issues • Has limitations, e.g. cannot send more that 1 attachment. • No preview pane available to view messages. • Message deletion on some occasions fails • Colour scheme doesn’t match company’s website • Contacts in address book are not sorted. 3

Webmail ServiceReplacement Webmail Client Product • Several open source webmail clients were looked at and below are a list of examples which were looked into: • RoundCube Webmail Client • Zimbra • SquirrelMail • Atmail • Afterlogic • Proposal Replacement Product - RoundCube Webmail Client • Roundcube Webmail Client is a web-based IMAP email client which is written in PHP. Product is designed to run on standard web servers, such as Apache, in conjunction with a relational database engine, such as MySQL. • The user interface is rendered in XHTML and CSS, which are fully customizable. 4

Webmail ServiceAdvantages Of Roundcube Webmail Client (Company Perspective) • Meets standard requirements with current servers, i.e. Red Hat 6 and MySQL • Open Source • ISP Server Team knowledgeable on all products which are used by Roundcube (PHP, MySQL, CSS and Red Hat) • Product is free of charge + 5

(Maximum allowed to be sent 25M) • Colour scheme more standard to current company’s website. 6

Webmail ServiceTimeline Of Key Events Before Product Launch • August 2011 • - Proposal Sent To Operations Director, ISP Manager and Server Team (Team Leader) • September 2011 • - Prepare a script to copy email contacts from old to new webmail • October 2011 • - Meeting with ISP Manager and Server Team (Team Leader) to demonstrate product and finalize launch date. • - Have a one to one demostration of product with NOC Tier 1 and 2 agents. • November 2011 • - Press Release and Mass Email To Be Sent To All Customers • - Internal Notification to Shareholders and other departments • - Product Launch 7
