What is the Noorani Qaida? • The Noorani Qaida is a terrorist group with an Islamic ideology that focuses on overthrowing the Iranian government. • The group was founded in 2009 by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian national who was living in London at the time. •  At the time of his arrest, Abdulmutallab was allegedly planning to detonate a bomb on an airplane traveling from Amsterdam to Detroit.
