SYNOPSIS • Located in the South- Western part of Lusaka • Declared as a district in August 2012 and a Centre of Excellence in October, 2013 • Population of 107,051 as at national census (50.3% male and 49.7% female) • Industrial and Agriculture Activities • Depletion of Natural Resources 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA

  3. OBJECTIVES • Gender disaggregated data on poverty levels • Mobilization and capacity building workshops on gender and climate change • Conduct monitoring and evaluation on all ventures applied to measure climate change 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA

  8. Women Empowerment Public Participation events (Agriculture Show and women’s Day) Women clubs funded under Constituency Development Funds Council Employees monitoring women's poultry project funded project under CDF Exhibition at District Agriculture Show

  9. Community Sensitization on Environment Education through drama Public participation Community attending a public hearing on social cooperate responsibilities and pollution levels Tree planting excise in Chilanga Ward

  10. Changes at work place Bins procured under Ward Development funds. Ready for distribution to cooperate clients Construction of Refuse bays in public places

  11. Outreach through the media Photograph of a camera man during commemoration of garbage collection equipment Through Zambia National Information Services in the District. Through Public Announcement System
