  1. Little Bead By Claudia

  2. There once lived a girl in Asia named Eve. Eve had a mom, a dad and a baby sister.

  3. She also had a grandmother. Eve loved her grandmother so much, that every day Eve would go to her grandmother’s house and bring her tasty treats such as cookies, pies, and herb tea.

  4. Eve always visited her grandma with her mom since Eve was eight.

  5. When she turned nine her mother told her that she can go all by herself to visit her grandma. Her mother made Eve a necklace. Eve bragged about the necklace so much, that everyone started calling her Little Bead.

  6. At the last minute Eve’s mother told Eve not to talk to strangers.

  7. Eve was almost at her grandma’s house when she met a tiger. The tiger was huge with black eyes.

  8. “Well hello there, where are you going? My name is Moe. Yes, that’s it Moe,” said the tiger. “I’m Eve, people call me Little Bead,” said Eve.” I'll show you a shortcut,” said Moe.

  9. “Well thanks, I’ll try that,” said Eve. But that wasn’t a shortcut. “All you have to do is go across South Bridge and across those big rocks and before you know it, you’ll be there,” said the tiger.

  10. When Eve left, Moe ran to grandma’s house. He quickly ran to the grandma’s bed, grabbed the helpless grandma and swallowed her whole.

  11. In just a few minutes the tiger saw Little Bead in the window.

  12. He jumped in bed and put the covers up to his head and waited.

  13. Eve skipped to the bed and asked, “Grandma, why do you have such big ears?” “To hear you better,” explained the tiger.

  14. Than Eve asked, “Why do have those huge paws?”, asked Little Bead. “To hug you tighter,” explained the tiger.

  15. “Why do you have such humongous teeth?”, asked Eve. “To gobble you up,” explained the tiger.

  16. Moe heard a knock on the door. He hid in the closet taking Little Bead with him. The door opened and Eve’s dad came in.

  17. Little Bead knew that face, she tried to speak but the tiger’s paw was on her mouth. Eve’s dad didn’t see anyone so he just left.

  18. Eve heard yelling , she knew it was her grandma. Eve was so mad.

  19. She grabbed some rope from the closet. She tied the rope to Moe’s feet. She turned on the fan. Eve tied the rope to the fan and Moe started swirling around the room.

  20. He coughed up the grandma. The grandma ran to hug Eve. Eve’s grandma and Eve ran home. Grandma told Eve’s parents about everything that had happened.

  21. At the end of the year Eve got the Hero of the Year reward.
