Attracting Talent • Build your Brand Equity. • Build organization structure which facilitates business growth and business dynamics. • Have well laid down policies and systems which facilitate business growth and dynamics. • Have well laid down HR policies and manuals which facilitates growth & development of people in line with the business growth. Attracting Talent • Have matrix reporting structure so that performance assessment is balanced and free of prejudices. • Assess talent on competencies and skills. • Spell out growth and development path for each position. • Spell out responsibilities and expectations of the position. Attracting Talent • Spell out authority levels which should be based on business growth & dynamics. • Compensation should be market driven and the scale of incentives/variable pay should give scope for scaling up. • Designation should be related to business growth and dynamics and related to responsibility and authority. Retaining Talent • Have a well laid down career path for each position. • Have an intrapreneurship organization giving ample scope for talented individuals. • Have well defined training programmes to build skills and competencies related to business growth and dynamics. • Involve individuals in a project role besides operations role to develop leadership and skills. Retaining Talent • Recognize individuals with talents, specialized knowledge & competencies which the company/group can draw upon. • Recognize achievements and high performance by awards and rewards. • Build compensation and incentives around performance and achievements and specialized knowledge and skills.
