  6. Kappa In an area called Kappabuchi, in the northeastern part of Japan it is said to be the home of the kappa. Behind the Jokenji temple is a clear stream where people gather hoping to just catch a glimpse of the amazing kappa. Occasionally master kappa fisherman goes to Kappabuchi and take there handmade fishing poles baited with cucumbers hoping to catch a kappa. The one who saw him says he saw a dish like thing on his head and he is believed to have a red face. The kappa of Tono is said to have tried to pull a horse who was lead to the river into the water. The kappa apologized to the horse’s owner and then became a protector as a mother to a child, and they watch over the town.

  7. Judo is a form of martial arts. It is known around the world as an Olympic sport. From the twelfth to the nineteenth century Japan was ruled by soldiers known as the samurai. These soldiers left open places for different kinds of martial arts to develop. Jujitsu was developed to fight enemies on close quarters. Kendama is a game with more than 1000 different techniques to master the game. This game develops concentration and perseverance. This game has become a competitive sport and is played all over Japan. A ball is connected to a stick 40cm of string. You must spear the ball on either side of the stick.
