We empower cancer fighters with the right information for their individual treat

Cancer is staged and treated depending on the extent of the disease's dissemination. There are stages I through IV (I represent less spread while IV represents spread to other body parts). The extent to which the tumour has migrated to surrounding tissues, lymph nodes, and organs is also considered during staging. Although every person's experience with cancer is different, and their signs and symptoms may vary, tumours in similar stages typically have a similar outlook and course of treatment. 1. We empower cancer fighters with the right information for their individual treatment journeys Early identification and treatment Abnormal cell proliferation in kidney cells is what is known as kidney cancer. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most prevalent form of kidney cancer, where one or more tumours develop in either kidney or both kidneys1. Most RCCs fall under the clear cell renal cell carcinoma category, distinguished by cells that seem extremely pale or clear. Other kidney malignancies include renal sarcomas, Wilms tumours, and transitional cell carcinoma1.

  2. Symptoms and Signs2 Typical warning signs and symptoms of kidney cancer include: Urine with blood in it A lump on the side or back that is causing low back pain on one side but not from an injury Fatigue (tiredness) (tiredness) reduced appetite Loss of weight a non-contagious fever Early detection of kidney cancer is not always possible. This is because malignant malignancies occasionally spread far without producing discomfort or other issues. Small kidney tumours cannot be seen or felt during a physical examination because kidneys are located deep inside our bodies. Urinary blood can be a sign of kidney cancer in its early stages, but it can also mean other things like kidney stones, bladder cancer, or urinary tract infections. Some kidney cancer patients don't exhibit blood in their urine until the disease has already spread. Small kidney tumours can be found with tests like computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), but they are pricy. Ultrasound is a less expensive diagnostic that can identify some early kidney cancers. Get regular imaging screening tests to check for kidney cancer if you have a family history of cancer or inherited disorders like Hippel-Lindau disease. Long-term dialysis patients and those who have previously had radiation therapy to the kidney should have routine imaging exams to check for kidney cancer3. Kidney Cancer Stages Cancer is staged and treated depending on the extent of the disease's dissemination.
