  3. The TV Times About You are a novice working at a TV station. You really want to be a movie producer one day. Trailers for a set of special TV programs have been released but there are errors in all ten of them. You have to research and correct the trailer transcripts within the time allocated. To do this you need to explore sources and complete tasks which give you clues and background knowledge about the ten topics which you will need later. Once the corrections are made, you’ll sit a skills test to obtain a media pass, then research and create your own program. You’ll be given tips on how to do this. With any luck your program could be shown at the Bogies awards ceremony. Print/close You turn on the TV to watch the channel you’ve started working at - PopTV. 5. POP TV STUDIO Oh this is outrageous! I’ve just had a look at the trailers and there are mistakes in every one of them. We’ve announced this is going live in 24 hours, AND IT IS GOING TO AIR IN 24 HOURS, but it’s a mess. Yes, Sir but … we’re so short of staff … Now I don’t want us all to look like complete idiots, so get your trainee producers to fix the errors in the trailer scripts and correct the voice-over autocues and the TV Guide. Otherwise we’ll all be looking for new jobs! I’ll get them on to it right away Next

  6. POP TV STUDIO Listen I just ‘talked’ with the boss about the trailers for Australia Day. Apparently there are plenty of errors in the scripts so this is what I want you to do. First, go to each trailer and watch it at your desk. Then do some research so you’ve got enough knowledge to identify the mistakes and correct them. We’re in a tough spot here. I’m afraid you’ll have to work through the night on it. We’re really depending on you for this but I know you can do it. Next
