  2. BLOGS • Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site.(www.bytowninternet.com/glossary) • “A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog) • When “blogging” you can add comments to a blog whether it be a diary or just the latest news.

  3. Downloads • “To download: is to receive data from a remote or central system, such as a webserver, FTP server, mail server, or other similar systems. A download is any file that is offered for downloading or that has been downloaded.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Download) • Downloading means more to receive and save opposed to uploading which is sending information over a server.

  4. Podcasts • “Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple's "iPod" and "broadcasting", is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost. It first became popular in late 2004, used largely for audio files.”en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasts

Networking • “A computer network is any set of computers or devices connected to each other.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_networking • Networking: “The linking of a number of devices, such as computers, workstations, printers, and AV gear into a network (system) for the purpose of sharing resources.” www.bjorns.com/glossary.html •  Network cards such as this one can transmit data and receive at high rates over various types of network cables. This card is a 'Combo' card which supports three cabling standards.

  6. Google Maps Tab • In google maps it allows you to take a tour, search, get driving directions, find businesses, etc. • You can also enlarge these maps and print them for yours to keep.

  7. Myspace Music Tab • On the website myspace there is a tab labeled “music” that allows you to search for you’re favorite artists “myspace pages”. On their page you can usually read about the artist, get the latest tour dates, and even listen to some of their songs. If there is a song you really enjoy you can even add it your own myspace page.
