  2. Say what? • Surgical repair of the eyelid. • Remove excess skin or fat deposits on upper or lower eyelid. • Vision should not be affected (unless previously blocked by excess skin/fat)

  3. Instrumentation • Westcott • Tenotomy • Bishop-Harmon • Castroviejo • Caliper • Weckcel eye Spears • Extra #15 blades

  4. Pre-op • Surgeon marks • Turban drape • Calipers used (permanent open eyes)

  5. procedure • Timeout • Local anesthesia used. • Sedatives may be used • Elliptical incision made

  6. More procedure • Follow natural curve of eyelid. • Redundant tissue is removed. • Underlying tissue closed with absorbable multifilament. • Skin closed with non-absorbable monofilament. 2-0 3-0

  7. Post op • No makeup for 7-10 days • Suture removed after 3-4 days
