  2. Assignment 1 Aim: • To develop the structure and outline of a basic portfolio website utilising the basic XHTML skills we have learned up until this point. Deliverables: • Documentation: • A sitemap • A site outline (paragraph). • A homepage and at least 3 other pages • Working Navigation between the pages • Must contain: • Table • Image • Text • Links

  3. Assignment 1 • Must validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict at http://validator.w3.org/ • No CSS please! • No content needed! Deadline: • Friday25th of October 2012 12pm. • Save your pages to your www folder and mail me (Nina.Bresnihan@scss.tcd.ie) the URL of your assignment homepage along with the documentation. • Late submissions will be marked out of 5% less each day...

Assignment 1 Class Activity: • Get into groups of 3 or 4 and discuss what you think a portfolio site should contain. • Construct your site maps and get feedback from your peers. • Start thinking about the layout of your homepage and content pages. Where will you put your navigation? How will your user view your content? Sketch out some ideas and get feedback from your peers.
