CLEO PROJECT PARTICIPANTS Address: What’s climate change all about, and what’s my role? ___________________________________ Anyone interested in joining the conversation, and: • acknowledges that the vast majority of climate scientists agree on AGW • accesses credible resources to answer the Project question • participates in forums, workshops and science cafes, as needed, to sharpen answers • practices and shares in writing, live or via video, responses the Project question • takes part in CLEO Project supporting initiatives,as appropriate TARGET : 100,000 INDIVIDUALS!

  18. The CLEO Project What’s climate change all about, and what’s my role? EXPECTATIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR RESPONSES: 
• Best responses are sincere, accurate, creative and communicate a clear message about climate change.
• Your response or presentation must be in your own words, using a conversational style.
• You already know or will soon see that climate change is a very broad, deep and complex issue. 
• Pick a framework that moves you most and select your focus carefully. 
• You must both explain some aspect of climate change AND articulate your role.
• Responses must reveal some basic understanding of the science of global climate change.
• Articulate your role at this point in time, listing three appropriate and realistic steps or behaviors.
• This is a relatively short assignment so narrow your focus.
• Longer presentations can be worked on towards Phase II and Phase III. Responses may focus on as few as one of the following aspects of climate change: global warming, adaptation and/or mitigation strategies, carbon pollution, ocean acidity, sea level rise, carbon sequestration, ice melts, biodiversity, health, food, water, energy, economic opportunity, and so on.

  19. CLEO Project Phase IWhat’s climate change all about, and what’s my role? This is a brief assignment, up to three pages or three minutes only Written responses: Submit a maximum 3 pages, minimum I inch margin,11-point font; list top 3 sources only; include at least one impactful diagram, graph or chart of your choosing or making. Submit hard copy, pdf or word document only. Taped/live responses: Presentations may not exceed 3 minutes. Presenters must identify, orally or visually, top 3 sources only; may include a visual aid; no elaborate props – only what you can hold. Submit via you tube, DVD or jump drive; or via scheduled presentation. Longer presentations can be part of Phases II and III
