  3. 2013 TPL Coordination Analysis • September 8th,2011 outage • O & P7 – WECC should develop recommendations for improving coordination of TPL Assessments • WECC initiated survey and finished report based on the O & P7 and survey results. • WECC staff response to results were • Standardize assessment practices • Encourage expanded coordination of assessmsnts

Major Issues from 10 recommendations of WECC Report • Report recommends sharing of assessments • Many WECC already do so • Task Force recommends the sharing, TPL-001-4 Requirement will mandate the sharing to neighboring TP and PCs • (Action) WECC staff to keep mailing list of TP and PC contacts to foster the communication • Task Force recommends to share, but understands the reluctance of some to go beyond strict letter of Requirement

  7. Major Issues from 10 recommendations of WECC Report • PCC should develop process or guide for how TPL Assessments are shared. • Task Force recommends to keep ambiguous because fully developed plans may not be available for each year

Conclusions: • NERC TPL-001-4 Requirements to handle some of the suggestions • Foster communication of the Assessments through Contact list maintenance • Better control of Projects in WECC Base Cases • Recommends Regional Planning participation • Action Item or Assignment - for WECC Staff to maintain the TP and PC contact list
