  2. Overview to the AMIGOS Community • Task Force formed June 20, 2013 • Four calls, chapter members, board and staff • Great concerns over 2012 and 2013 budget deficits and recruiting shortfalls • We face real competition in the market

  3. New Ways of Thinking • Year-round recruiting, multi-year recruiting • Recruiting for the the collective goal is true “One AMIGOS” • “One AMIGOS” recruits for Chapter and IOV success • Can’t only recruit in Spanish classes “channel” • Must diversify approach • Clubs, teams, places of worship, board contacts, community orgs serving youth (BGC, Scouts, etc.)

  4. New Ways of Thinking • Our goal as an organization is to offer the AMIGOS experience to any qualified person • Our job is to find the right path of entry to Latin America for that person whether through a Chapter or IOV

  5. New Tools - 2014 • Recruiting PowerPoint: Quick overview of the basics • Recruiting Guide: In-depth Step by Step • Program Catalog – Comprehensive • I-page comparison matrix between Chapter and IOV options • Intranet group/library for recruitment coordinators (in progress)

  6. New Process - 2014 • Consistency of approach across Chapters • Adult management of the process • Oversight of recruiting objectives and reporting. Monitor, mentor and support Vet recruiters • Collect potential volunteer contact information for Salesforce at all opportunities • Classrooms, Community meetings • Recruiting for potential vols in the future and year-round

  7. New Process - 2014 • Recruiting coordinator webinars • Frequent recruiting coordinator check in via teleconference • Daily monitoring of leads through Salesforce, web, and applications • Utilizing Salesforce sign in at community meetings to actively track all volunteer leads

  8. Ideas for the Future • Shared incentives for surpassing recruitment goals in all programs • Incentives could include increased volunteer financial aid or Chapter Leader trips to Latin America • Social media push • How about more AMIGOS SWAG?

  9. ONE AMIGOS For a world where each young person becomes a life-long catalyst for social change.
