Secure Skill Write if the following numbers are prime or composite. prime Factors: 1, 2 • 2 ______________________________________ • 4 _______________________________________ • 17 ______________________________________ • 24 ______________________________________ composite Factors: 1, 2, 4 prime Factors: 1, 17 composite Factors: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24 Remember: Prime has only 2 factors – 1 and itself Composite has more than 2 factors

  9. Complete the Divisibility Table below. Use your “tests” to help you determine which numbers are divisible by the give number. yes yes no no Ends in a 0 Even number 2 + 3 + 0 = 5 5 divided by 3 = 1.666 *sum has a remainder It is NOT divisible by both 2 and 3

  10. Secure Skill Create 3 arrays for the number 10. Remember to label your array with a number model.

  11. Developing Skill Working with exponents. Identify the missing number. 62 = ____ 22 = ____ 52 = ____ 36 ___2 = 64 ___2 = 16 ___2 = 81 8 4 4 25 9

  12. Beginning Skill Write the prime factorization for the number 16. Use a Factor Tree to help you. 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 = 16 24 Show using exponents: _____

  13. Secure Skill List the square numbers using the factors 1 – 10. • 1 • 4 • 9 • 16 • 25 • 36 • 49 • 64 • 81 • 100

  14. Questions?Be sure to ask Mrs. Jaeger in class. Keep working hard! This is very challenging material. You will do GREAT if you continue to work at it!
