  2. Did You Know??? How your student can be successful in physics…

  3. We will be covering topics including: Scientific Measurements Kinematics Dynamics Conservation Laws Electricity and Magnetism Waves Light

  4. What your child needs for class: A Scientific Calculator An up to date binder with a section for notes, quizzes, homework, and labs and class activities. This will help your child stay organized and prepare for tests Each student has a Physics Textbook to use as a resource. If they have questions about a particular topic they should read the appropriate sections.

  5. Classroom Calendar and Learning Objectives The Agenda, Learning Objectives, and Assignments are posted on the board everyday. It is the student’s responsibility to take note of the learning objectives and turn their assignments in on time.

  6. Extra Help and Make-Up Work The make-up work policy is “twice the number of classes or days missed”. It is the student’s responsibility to request any missed work on the day of their return. Students can come to ACCESS on Tuesdays after 2nd period for extra help or to make-up assignments, quizzes, and labs. Science tutors are available all periods (1-7) except period 5.

  7. Grading The grading for Physics is roughly equal to: Tests 50% Homework and Quizzes 20% Lab activities 20% Final Exam 10% Students will have the opportunity to retake one test The lowest lab grade will be dropped Students receive two “I Need A Break” per semester
